Completing the MBA program at SDM College of Business Management was a transformative experience for me, even though I had always lived and studied in this city. This program marked a turning point in my career, setting me on an unexpected and rewarding path.
I would like to give special recognition to Dr. Seema Shenoy, my marketing lecturer who is now the college Director. Her guidance was particularly instrumental, especially her advice on balancing a career with motherhood. Her insights and encouragement were invaluable, helping me understand how to navigate both roles successfully.
The entire staff at SDM College of Business Management was incredibly supportive and friendly. Throughout my studies, I gained not only theoretical knowledge but also practical insights that have been essential for my professional development. The faculty’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education and their real-world experience significantly contributed to my growth.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my time at SDM was the opportunity to make lasting friendships. The college’s focus on the overall development of students was exceptional. We were given numerous opportunities and exposed to various inter-collegiate fests, educational excursions, and factory visits. These experiences enriched my education and helped me develop valuable life skills.
Now living overseas, I am always proud to say that I am a product of SDM. At SDM, I learned that being kind yet assertive is a crucial life skill.
One piece of advice from my experiences: while many people will offer you opportunities, it is up to you as an individual to utilize them effectively and strive to improve every day. A degree alone will not suffice in the real world; it is essential to maintain the quality, readiness, and willingness to learn while never forgetting your roots.
