The SDM College of Business Management, Post Graduate Centre for
Management Studies and Research, Mangaluru, in association with the
Rotaract Club of SDM MBA and the Rotary Club of Mangalore, successfully
organised a workshop titled “Inspired to Dream, Empowered to Achieve on
Friday, 19 th of December 2025.
The workshop featured Olympic athlete Ms. M. R. Poovamma, an Olympic
Athlete, as the resource person. She shared her inspiring journey, highlighting
the importance of dreaming big, perseverance, discipline, and resilience in
achieving excellence. Her interaction motivated students to overcome
challenges and remain committed to their goals, both personally and
professionally.
On this occasion, Ms. M. R. Poovamma, was felicitated on behalf of the SDM
PG Centre and the Rotary Club of Mangalore. The programme was graced by
the presence of Dr. Seema S. Shenoy, Director, Rtn. Vinod Aranha – President
of the Rotary Club of Mangalore, Dr. Savitha Pereira, Faculty Coordinator, Rtn.
Kishan Kumar – Youth Service Director and other Rotary members were
present on this occasion. Their presence added value to the event and
encouraged students to actively participate in leadership and service-oriented
initiatives.
The event was coordinated by the Rotaract Club of SDM MBA, under the
leadership of Rtr. Anmol Shet, President, and Rtr. Drupad, Secretary. The
workshop concluded with an expression of gratitude to the resource person
and dignitaries, leaving the participants inspired and motivated.
