Workshop on “Entrepreneurship from the Streets of Mangalore”

Workshop on “Entrepreneurship from the Streets of Mangalore” was organised for I MBA students on 03rd February, 2025. The objective of this workshop on entrepreneurship was to promote the idea of entrepreneurship and make students aware that there are a lot of management lessons to learn from small businesses too. Ms. Shilpa Ghorpade, Owner – Detailingncustoms was the resource person. She spoke on various management lessons one can learn from small businesses in general and street vendors in particular. “People who start a new business typically have the opportunity of working for themselves and support other businesses as well, in the process. Entrepreneurs can both earn money for themselves and employ others in their business activities” she said. She explained with the help of several examples of businesses running in Mangalore city and also explained the reasons for failure of businesses. Dr. Seema S. Shenoy Director of the institute, presided over the program. Mrs. Deepa Nayak P. Assistant Professor coordinated the program. Ms. Harshitha student of I MBA compered the program.
