SDM College of Business Management Post Graduate Centre for Management
Studies and Research, Mangalore, in association with Karnataka Institute of
Leather and Fashion Technology, Bangalore and District Industries Centre,
Yeyyadi, organised an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme on 11/03/2026
in the Conference hall. Mr. Gokuldas Nayak, Joint Director of DIC, inaugurated
the programme. Dr. Seema S. Shenoy, Director of SDM PG Centre, presided
over the programme. There were three technical sessions after the inauguration.

Mr.Eshwar Prasad Shetty, Founder of Yatharth Social, was the resource
person during the first session. He spoke on the topic “The journey of Building
Something from Nothing”. Mrs.Vandana Kamath, Founder and Director of Hip
Hip Hurray, was the resource person for the second technical session on the
topic “The Accidental Entrepreneur: Turning Passion into Purpose”. Mrs.
Kavitha Shetty, Lead District Chief Manager, Canara Bank, was the resource
person for the third technical session on the topic “Role of Banks in
Entrepreneurship Development”.
Dr. Prameela S Shetty, Associate Professor at the institute, coordinated the
programme. Dr.Shaini Naveen, Assistant Professor, was present during the
programme. 70 students of the institute and a few entrepreneurs participated in
the programme.
