National Conference on “Indian Knowledge System: Driven by Glorious Past, Promising Present & Designed for Bright Future”

Institute successfully hosted the National Conference–2025 on the theme “Indian Knowledge System: Driven by Glorious Past, Promising Present & Designed for Bright Future ” on 1st August, 2025. It served as an inspiring platform for academicians, researchers, alumni, students and professionals to explore the legacy, relevance and future potential of India’s traditional knowledge systems. The conference commenced with an impactful inaugural session graced by Dr. Vinayachandra Banavathy, Director, Centre for IKS, Bangalore as the Chief Guest and Inaugurator. Dr. Banavathy, also a strategic consultant and a founding member of Chanakya University, Bangalore, delivered a powerful address on integrating Indian knowledge frameworks into modern educational and policy structures. Mr. Rajesh Anant Kadam, HOD, Spiritual Care, Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute, Maharashtra, gave the keynote address emphasizing the spiritual and ethical foundations of Indian systems of knowledge. Mrs. Ashwini G.K., Finance Specialist, Schaeffler AG, Germany, shared her alumni experiences as a student at the institute that laid the foundations for her career, reflecting on the influence of Indian knowledge systems in global professional environments. First technical Session was themed “Indian Knowledge System and Sustainable Goals”, Dr. Susheel Kumar Singh, Secretary, MKSES Group of Institutions was the Resource Person and Dr. Meera Jacob, Professor & HOD, Yenepoya Medical College, Mangaluru served as the moderator. Second technical Session was on “Leadership Lessons from Ancient Indian Culture” with Dr. Nanda Kishore, Associate Professor, Pondicherry University as the Resource Person and Mr. Sharan Setty, Journalist, Documentary Filmmaker as the moderator. A thought-provoking panel discussion was held in the post lunch session on the topic “Role of Indian Knowledge System in Higher Education” .Chairperson was Mr. Ranjan Bellarpady, Chief Coordinator, Ramakrishna Mission Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan and the Expert Panelists included Mr. Sharan Setty, Dr. Biju John, Dean, St. Thomas College, Kerala, Dr. Shilpi Rastogi, Professor & HOD, Yenepoya University The conference received several faculty and student research papers that were presented through the hybrid mode.
The Valedictory session witnessed Mr. Niddodi Sadanand Shetty from ISKCON Mumbai, as Chief Guest and Mrs. Anoka Anup Jain, Director, Jain Consulting Engineers, Hassan, as the Alumni Guest. This national conference reinforced the value and necessity of integrating India’s indigenous wisdom into contemporary education, research, and societal development. Dr. Seema S. Shenoy Director presided over the program. Dr. Jomon Lonappan, Assistant Professor and Faculty Coordinator. Ms. Priyanka and Ms. Rhea were the Student Coordinators.
