A two-day Basic ‘Fire Fighting’ training program was organized for the staff of SDM MBA College Mangalore on 21st and 22nd November 2024 at Regional Fire Office Kadri.

This training program was inaugurated by the Fire Officer of Dakshina Kannada District. A total of 83 personnel from some educational institutes, hospitals, factories and other organizations of five districts were present in the program.

In the two-day program, regional officers were the trainers. They gave information about the fire department., recruitment, promotion, salaries and other related information.

Then they were given information regarding steps to be taken by the staff in case of fire accident, how fire spreads, types of fire, what type of fire extinguishers should be used for fire, methods of extinguishing fire etc.,

During this two day training session demonstration and mock session was also taken up. Various types of fire extinguishers, vehicles and their functioning were demonstrated.

The the two day training program gave good experiences and information about the precautionary measures to be followed in case of fire in real life.
